Pros
We're now called, "Chef" which is the platform our customers use to manage their infrastructure as code. We have paying customers, momentum, great products, and a team that is dedicated to the success of each and every customer. Our open-source community is the best on the planet. We fundamentally change the way our customers run their businesses, we don't just sell software or services. The benefits are really good for a smaller company. Healthcare is good, and there is 401k matching, which is unique for a company of our size. We have a generous PTO policy in that it is not measured or capped. The environment is casual yet driven. Getting things done and doing so in a smart and effective way is appreciated. Direct communication is encouraged, and our people are incredibly smart and talented. The office is fine. It's a little crowded now, because of growth. Foosball, drinks and snacks are all over the place.
Cons
The hardest part is getting up to speed, because we're doing more than just legacy configuration management. Training for new hires could be better, but it is improving.
