Pros

-Time off in December -Working with and in the community

Cons

The issues: Low pay, nothing for performance, having a college degree gets you no where, no bonuses, no retirement packages, bad management, promoting friends , and micromanagement. very negative work environment where everyone either doesnt know what they are doing or are micromanaging because they have nothing else better to do. superviors allowed to talk and socialize. Breaks are micromanaged. People are unhappy and there is a high turnover that people make excuses for. No one seems to care.

Thank you for your feedback on your experience at CCRC. We have noted your feedback and will follow up as necessary. We also would like to take this opportunity to share some information that may not have been previously shared with you. In regards to CCRC’s recruitment strategies and opportunity for promotion, our commitment to each employee and as part of our Affirmative Action program is that we provide all internal employees an opportunity to apply to each opening in which they are qualified and will post all open positions for at least 5 business days. While carefully reviewing and considering internal candidates, we will review applications in the order received as required by the Affirmative Action Plan and move forward in the consideration process with those that are most qualified. A fact that we are most proud of is our internal promotion and transfer rate is at 45%. In regards to pay, although bonuses are restricted by CCRC’s contracts, we currently have a pay for performance culture where top performers are rewarded through merit. We also offer a retirement savings plan where employees can enroll in this program at any time after hire. We are very proud of CCRC’s generous contribution to the 403(b) plan; after one year of service and 1,000 hours worked, employees will receive a 3% discretionary employer contribution and employer match of 50%, up to 4% of what is deferred. Employees are 100% invested in the contributions they receive from CCRC. We also invest in employees through different trainings held inside and outside the organization, such as team buildings, specific job related trainings, and leadership development. In addition, we offer Education (‘Tuition’) Reimbursement for employees who wish to further develop their skills through formal education. For employees who wish to leave the agency, we do take the unusual approach to conduct exit interviews and provide trends and feedback on issues to the Division Director, the Vice President & COO and President & CEO. We also track our turnover and in the current employment market, our turnover is low. We encourage all employees to bring any questions and concerns they may have to their Management Team, Human Resources or the Agency’s Ethics Hotline.
