Pros

Some coworkers and my families, able to write my own developmentally appropriate curriculum, had fun going to marketing events

Cons

Certain Upper Management shared confidential info with outside vendors, other families, and other coworkers. Certain Upper Management showed favorites among children and staff. It annoyed her if you asked to go to the bathroom. A variety of center family members and employee family members stated that she glared at them when they walked in the front door. Never received a review in two years. Extremely low pay for a state certified teacher. NAEYC accredited but does not follow their standards in reality. Poor curriculum from Corporate. Some teachers didn't call children by their real names, they used nicknames. Two different District Managers in two years. Each one had their idea of what teachers should do and how our rooms should look. Hard to take direction from someone who has a business degree, not a teaching degree and/or teaching experience. Building was almost 20 years old and shows a lack of repairs. Building is owned by a different entity, who may or may not be responsible for repairs.

Pros

Learning Care is a company where you can grow.I received my CDA and then was able to take and complete the Master Teacher Program as well. I have been with the company 20 years and have worked my way up from Infant Teacher to Assistant Director.

Cons

Although they have gotten better with this, But we are open most holidays. Sometimes it seems like we can use a little break here and there. Especially around the Winter holidays when we are expected to be here always. A little more time off, and paid time would be good.

Pros

I was hired as a Lead Preschool Teacher, but was verbally promoted to Pre-Kindergarten teacher.

Cons

I thought I was the Pre-Kindergarten Teacher, but just to find out she hired a new Pre-Kindergarten teacher, and inform the parents on Sprout About bulletin. This was very unprofessional. It actually hurt my feelings. I was rehired, and was excited to finally get the job I been wanting. Just for someone younger and only have 8 years experience to get it. I have a degree in Early Childhood Education. I have been teaching for 16 years..
