Substandard Pay. Management at my store was a complete ego-driven mess. Sneaky and secretive about pay and raises between employees, which is a bad idea in such a close work environment. Expected high turnover of any food service job, but the pay was also markedly lower than stores in the same shopping center. Customers were usually chill but if there is a bad/ aggressive customer management will be of no help and will usually leave you to deal with it alone. Side work is about 50% of this job as there are so many ingredients that could be added to salads. If you're not constantly doing side work management will use this as a reason to not give you a raise come the next review. It's also very easy to not have multiple ingredients as there are so many and ordering needs to be done correctly which it rarely is. So we always were out of at least 1 item. I can only speak for the store I worked but subpar management directly caused at least 80% of the issues at this store which was otherwise a calm and laid-back place to work.
