Pros

I worked with this company for six months and have had a great experience thus far. I was thoroughly impressed with the commitment to my training. It's been the best, most thorough training I've received at any company thus far. My experience with those working in our corporate offices has been phenomenal. Each conversation supportive, respectful, and indicative of people that genuinely wanted to support your efforts on the front lines. Chopt is certainly a growing company with a small feel to it. I love the ability to have casual interactions with those in upper leadership in the organization. I also love that the values are not just words on a wall...we speak them every day. Chopt offers good compensation and clear opportunities for growth as they are currently expanding in the south!

Cons

Honestly, none thus far.

Pros

Since I had applied to a relatively new location, it seemed like they were always hiring new people. The process was easy and my interview took place at the restaurant itself among the customers. I was hired on the spot. They didnt have a real "orientation" or "training" program. I pretty much just shadowed the two cashiers on the clock and tried to be as helpful as possible. I hope that by now they came up with a better system. They're really big on team work which is great and there was mostly a lot of positive energy among all employees. A lot of them were related to one another so there was always a sense of family. The food is at a discounted price for employees (yay!). You can take days off as long as you mark it on a calendar in the office at least two weeks in advanced which was awesome. The job was hard especially during those crazy lunch and dinner rushes but there was always someone there to help you and guide you. There was room for growth at CHOPT which I liked. I enjoyed seeing our regular customers, and as I got better at my job, I learned how to multi task and socialize with the customers while still getting things done. It was good as a first job to develop some customer service skills and get some experience, but it was NOT a place I saw myself staying in.

Cons

- the scheduling was really frustrating because there was no way to access it digitally so if you didnt work on the day that the new calendar was posted, you had to find out on your own somehow - again, the training methods then were not the best, but they worked for me since I caught on really quickly -it was mostly a positive environment but there was definitely drama and tension between some people -the pay..minimum wage you know -leaving the place smelling like old vegetables, it was foul, it was awful -no space just for employees to get dressed before and after work

Pros

Move up fast if you study hard.

Cons

Racism toward black and white workers. Unorganized. Too much favortism. Manager lets employees do what ever they want.
