Pros

Outside of the executive suite the people who work here are great.

Cons

I would anticipate a culture change with a merger, but this wasn't a great change. We are all just working crazy hard and that’s it. Most of us are remote now so we have to be even more proactive with establishing our culture. We need to take into account the human aspect of things. Asking about each other. Caring about each other. Many of the new leaders at Circana don't take that same approach. For example, we had a product town hall and there was an executive who was very cavalier with how he approached recent layoffs with everyone on that call - like it wasn’t a big deal, cost of doing business, nothing to be concerned about and that rubbed a lot of people the wrong way – especially on the heritage NPD side as this is where many of the layoffs occurred. These were people we have established really close working relationships with. Smart people who cared about the work they did that we have known for years. People we cared about. And it was just dismissed as a casualty of doing business. Probably could have been handled better.

Completely remote work. That's about the only pro.

Cons

Let's start with the IT department. A ticket goes in and it's easily ignored for 24 hours. And when you do get a response from IT it will take days, weeks for a computer issue to get resolved. All while your boss and clients are breathing down your neck to meet a deadline but you can't because IT won't fix your computer problems. How the IT department at Circana hasn't completely gotten fired and replaced is beyond me. We hear constantly from senior leadership - speed! Efficiency! - yet can't do that when computers don't work. The work itself: Mind numbingly boring. Circana tries desperately to be consultative and provide insights but they are so far from doing so. Impossible to make any kind of meaningful changes at the company b/c the culture is so slow and plodding. Constant org changes by a bunch of higher-ups who don't know what they are doing. Justify the changes with slogans and phrases but has zero understanding of how these org changes actually will work. Oh -- good luck Circana keeping employees when you don't provide even the basic cost of living increases.
