Pros

Mostly remote work, though it depends on your team and client. If the client is in person, you may need to be in person too. You will learn time management and you learn a lot overall about business. Okay for beginning of career.

Cons

Number one con is that you will have no life working at this company. This varies by client of course, but be very very careful. Overtime work is the norm, and people just act like this is normal and the company is fully comfortable allowing this to happen because people go along with it and make it work at the expense of their own health and sanity. Extremely stressful job, with 99% of requests being "urgent". I personally would not recommend working at this company unless you are very early on in your career and looking to learn, and willing to give up all your time and energy for it. Assume this is an 80 hours job unless they explicitly tell you that people don't work overtime in that specific team, and even then, be skeptical. Finally, I will just say it is absolutely disheartening to see what this has become because NPD was the best company I had ever worked for, and its wonderful culture is completely ruined after the merger. Very, very sad to watch.

Circana Response

Thank you for your feedback, it is important to us. We are sorry to hear you are not currently having a great experience. It is not at all Circana's expectation that people work 80 hours per week and this is not our norm. We have remained committed to our flexible working environment (while many other companies have long reverted to requiring days in the office) and providing other resources that support work/life balance including our comprehensive benefits, our Wellness Hub, and other resources to specifically support our colleagues' well-being. In fact, our Commit to Each Other behavior is foundational to our overall culture here and it includes "caring about our Circana family and promoting each other's well-being." We recommend that you please talk with your manager and/or HR Business Partner to identify ways to support your work/life balance and well-being as you continue your career at Circana.

Pros

Completely remote work. That's about the only pro.

Cons

Let's start with the IT department. A ticket goes in and it's easily ignored for 24 hours. And when you do get a response from IT it will take days, weeks for a computer issue to get resolved. All while your boss and clients are breathing down your neck to meet a deadline but you can't because IT won't fix your computer problems. How the IT department at Circana hasn't completely gotten fired and replaced is beyond me. We hear constantly from senior leadership - speed! Efficiency! - yet can't do that when computers don't work. The work itself: Mind numbingly boring. Circana tries desperately to be consultative and provide insights but they are so far from doing so. Impossible to make any kind of meaningful changes at the company b/c the culture is so slow and plodding. Constant org changes by a bunch of higher-ups who don't know what they are doing. Justify the changes with slogans and phrases but has zero understanding of how these org changes actually will work. Oh -- good luck Circana keeping employees when you don't provide even the basic cost of living increases.
