Pros

The people are generally all friendly and it's easy to make work friends here. This is the sole reason why they have been runner up for best workplace culture in the northland. But culture is more about the people you work with, it's also about having strong leadership, which Cirrus doesn't.

Cons

Cirrus talks about being such an innovative company, but the reality is they operate very old school. It feels like you've gone back in time 10-15 years being here. The turnover is high because they're too stubborn to offer compensation that meets the market, they suffocate their employees by micromanaging them, not trusting them, nor respecting them. Leadership is constantly focused on minor inconspicuous things their employees do wrong, but never give them recognition for things they do right, big or small. Incidentally, the engagement and morale is low. Leadership is very top heavy, with their pay being significantly above market. Huge disparity between entry/mid level roles and directors and executives. They could really use a revamp of their compensation plan to make it more equitable. There's too much work to go around, due to having inefficient processes, mostly. So there's forced overtime for everyone across the board, whether you're hourly or salary. No one takes the time to strategize process improvement, which is why they're still stuck 10-15 years in the past.

Pros

My boss was great. He understood that family comes before work.

Cons

Production can be demanding. Since it’s a business, the numbers are very important.
