We are happy to hire bright graduates with little or no industry experience and provide a unique opportunity to work in Halifax for an international firm in the hedge fund arena. Operations Analysts are enrolled in a 2 year development plan with thorough training including a company paid certificate program from the CFA Institute. There is great value to the financial knowledge that you will gain here and this is part of the overall investment the firm makes in its employees (in addition to compensation and great benefits). As staff develop, they are eligible for salary reviews at the 6 and 12 month marks that will increase their salary upwards of 10%+ in their first year (depending on performance, of course). With respect to workload, Halifax management is also very focused on this area and aware of the issues. Positions in our field usually require some overtime; however, this year senior management will be reviewing the workload and recruiting heavily to address the work/life concerns of staff.
