Pros

The company is young. If you're a young professional with a lot to prove, you'll fit in very well. The environment is nice, and some of the on-site amenities are pretty nice. You'll learn a lot because of how busy you'll be. It makes any other job seem pretty easy. The building is beautiful. There are massage chairs, free beer and wine, free soft drinks, free food in the common area all the time, and of course, all the coffee you can drink.

Cons

For starters, the pay is very poor for the industry. Some of the positions there were paying about 2/3 of what you could expect for the same position at any other company. I know, because I left there and immediately started making %70 more than I was. life's not all about the money, but let's be honest; you only work because of money. They get around the low pay by touting their "culture" and environment; but you'll be so busy, you probably won't have time to enjoy any of those things. Much will be expected of you, and if you can't cut it, they'll let you go. One of my best friends is experiencing this right now. HR there is terrible. I applied for 3 separate internal job postings in the last couple months I was there, and they didn't even respond to me. When I pushed them about it, their response was, "Yeah, we need to get better about that." The interview process is a nightmare, and you'll likely be expected to be available for multiple interviews, as well as a presentation and some kind of strategic plan. Management does a very poor job at recognizing talent. Promotions are very difficult to get unless you're in good with the right people, and that's very difficult to do, because again, you'll be very busy. Cross-training and career building are basically non-existent. Management often doesn't seem to know what they're doing. They make plans to try and solve problems, but they're dumb plans that are often abandoned within the year. They are starting to get better about including the proletariat in these types of decisions, but that had only just started to happen when I left. I hate to be so negative, but I'm so much happier now that I've taken a different position. Looking back on my time there, I often wonder how I made it past the first month. If all you want is a job, and your career has a specific focus (like project management or design), you may have an ok time here. If you like money and internal advancement opportunities, keep looking.

Pros

The actual people I was working with directly were wonderful. This company originally had a really great culture, and at the ground level, it still seems to have really great people working there. My department was the least toxic workplace I have ever seen. Unfortunately, that good culture and good values does not seem to be common the higher up you go in the chain of command.

Cons

CP's upper management is currently driving the company straight into the ground. They've been acquiring company after company without bothering to maintain the quality of any of them, including CP's own original products and services. They are working their employees as hard as possible, with as little compensation and support as possible. They want to squeeze the most money out of everything without putting anything back into it. I expect this company to collapse entirely within ten years at the most. The pay is well below industry averages, and people who actually verbalize that get laid off. They did months and months of employee satisfaction surveys that satisfaction statistics of below 20% on the subject of pay and they did absolutely nothing about it. Lay-offs are becoming more and more common and are done without any warning or any consideration for how it will affect the departments who are losing staff. Upper management is beginning to look more and more greedy, short-sighted, and vindictive.
