Pros

Hybrid work and free snacks in the office.

Cons

Please make this your ABSOLUTE LAST job choice. Low Pay. Nasty old Durham Office. Took them 4 months to pay for my parking because they didn’t have badges for the expensive parking deck in Durham so I had to pay out of pocket and be reimbursed. The civic plus software is okay, however I seen there are so many other options out there for government and schools to archive that the market was overly saturated making it tough to consistently book meetings. This company is a complete joke, the pay is so bad and I mean bad low 40K and living in the triangle we all know this will not cut it. You do have to come into their Durham office twice a week. Which would be okay if the office wasn’t in some super old building on the top floor with extremely old/small elevators that only 2 people can fit in before you feel claustrophobic. The stairs in the building are locked so you cant take them. Once you get into the office, your stomach will sink when you see that it looks like a deserted island with nasty chairs, old bathrooms where the toilet clogs and a loud environment. During my time here I could easily tell this wasn’t the place for me. It seems the main office in Manhattan Kansas feels like this is the bees knees but maybe that’s because nothing is in that small town. Here in the Triangle I knew I had plenty of options. I worked for three months and the company and myself decided it wasn’t a good fit. That was on a Monday, by that Thursday I had another job offer for $30,000 more BASE pay. Do yourself a favor, skip this company.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We truly value hearing from our former employees, as it helps us identify areas where we can improve. We are sorry to hear that your experience with our Durham office did not meet your expectations. Our Durham office is a historic building that reflects the rich history of downtown Durham. Many of our hybrid employees enjoy the balance of working both in the office and from home. Additionally, we offer parking reimbursement to employees who regularly come into the office through our regular reimbursement process. We also appreciate your insights regarding the software market and the challenges you faced while trying to book meetings. Your feedback is crucial as we continuously strive to develop new ways to support our team. Our SDR Team has a merit-based growth path, starting with a $45k base salary plus commission, allowing team members to quickly excel and increase their earnings within the first year. While we regret that your time with us did not meet your expectations, we wish you all the best in your future endeavors. Thank you for your contributions during your time here.

Pros

The actual people I was working with directly were wonderful. This company originally had a really great culture, and at the ground level, it still seems to have really great people working there. My department was the least toxic workplace I have ever seen. Unfortunately, that good culture and good values does not seem to be common the higher up you go in the chain of command.

Cons

CP's upper management is currently driving the company straight into the ground. They've been acquiring company after company without bothering to maintain the quality of any of them, including CP's own original products and services. They are working their employees as hard as possible, with as little compensation and support as possible. They want to squeeze the most money out of everything without putting anything back into it. I expect this company to collapse entirely within ten years at the most. The pay is well below industry averages, and people who actually verbalize that get laid off. They did months and months of employee satisfaction surveys that satisfaction statistics of below 20% on the subject of pay and they did absolutely nothing about it. Lay-offs are becoming more and more common and are done without any warning or any consideration for how it will affect the departments who are losing staff. Upper management is beginning to look more and more greedy, short-sighted, and vindictive.
