Pros
Day-to-Day relatively smooth. Coworkers are usually very helpful and friendly. My team members and coworkers are the top few reasons I am still here. Location is very easy to get to- they provide a shuttle from PATCO and Regional Rail to front door of office Due to my specific job, my work/life balance is very good with the work from home flexibility and summer hours. Disclaimer: not all departments get these benefits.
Cons
Management- including my own manager- is so wrapped up in the game of politics that they are rapidly losing sight of "long term" goals, or really any goals at all. Employees should not feel threatened or scared for their job security by simply answering an email honestly or speaking to someone that is not their direct manager (politics, politics, politics). Benefits are awful and expensive compared to other competitors and our 401k match was just decreased by 1%. Turnover rate is consistently high. Resource constraints are bearable, but if we continue down the path we're currently going, I fear it will become worse. I honestly cannot say I know one person whose been placed in the last 6 months from a promotion standpoint that wasn't externally hired.
