Pros

I’ve had a positive experience working with the Clear Street India engineering team. The overall culture is collaborative and respectful, with a strong focus on building high-quality systems in a fast-growing fintech environment. There is good potential for learning and growth, both from an engineering perspective (scalable systems, modern tech stack, ownership-driven teams) and from exposure to the fintech and capital markets domain. Compensation, perks, and benefits are aligned with good Indian market standards, and the company shows intent to invest in engineering talent and long-term capability building. Overall, it’s a good place for engineers who want meaningful ownership, domain learning in fintech, and growth opportunities in a scaling organization.

Cons

The India team is currently small and still in the process of scaling. As the organization grows, there may be a need to further strengthen local finance and support functions to better enable teams in the longer term.

Pros

Great leadership, incredible colleagues and great vision

Cons

Not really much, probably not the right fit if you are trying to pass days/do the same work without trying to innovate, learn, and grow.

Pros

$17 daily DoorDash credit. Free food in the pantry.

Cons

I joined the company before the planned IPO during a period of high optimism and strong morale. However, following the withdrawal of the IPO, I observed a noticeable decline in culture, employee morale, and clarity of direction. In my experience, there was a lack of visible leadership and communication at a time when employees were looking for guidance, which contributed to uncertainty across the organization. While the company positions itself as a fintech with ambitious growth goals, many internal processes felt more aligned with those of a traditional financial institution. I found workflows and processes to be cumbersome and difficult to scale efficiently. Day-to-day work is often highly reactive and process driven. I also experienced a significant amount of oversight and micromanagement, resulting in a job that gave me very low autonomy. In my experience, there was also an expectation of being available outside of normal working hours, despite already being in office for 10+ hours per day.
