Pros

Clear Street is full of passionate, driven people. I've never loved working with a team more. I feel we gel well across the entire business. We also have an amazing knowledge sharing culture. There are tons of oppotlnitiesz to learn more about Finance and Engineering for anyone who wants to. Employees are encouraged to take the SIE and Series exams even if they don't need it for their roles. The office is also amazing. Free lunch, snacks, and amazing views!

Cons

Sometimes big decisions are made without a lot of transparency. There have been some instances where major changes were made and employees had to pull information. This sort of information should always be pushed to employees via Town Halls, memos, etc.

Pros

Great leadership, incredible colleagues and great vision

Cons

Not really much, probably not the right fit if you are trying to pass days/do the same work without trying to innovate, learn, and grow.

Pros

$17 daily DoorDash credit. Free food in the pantry.

Cons

I joined the company before the planned IPO during a period of high optimism and strong morale. However, following the withdrawal of the IPO, I observed a noticeable decline in culture, employee morale, and clarity of direction. In my experience, there was a lack of visible leadership and communication at a time when employees were looking for guidance, which contributed to uncertainty across the organization. While the company positions itself as a fintech with ambitious growth goals, many internal processes felt more aligned with those of a traditional financial institution. I found workflows and processes to be cumbersome and difficult to scale efficiently. Day-to-day work is often highly reactive and process driven. I also experienced a significant amount of oversight and micromanagement, resulting in a job that gave me very low autonomy. In my experience, there was also an expectation of being available outside of normal working hours, despite already being in office for 10+ hours per day.
