Pros
You are well looked after Good discount scheme Lots of benefits from Estée Lauder companies such as the employee E L choices website Both Clinique and Estée Lauder are both very well organised Training is of a high standard and the new head office is outstanding. Most counters use iPads so you don’t have to worry about physical paper work 1% commission and 2% if the counter does target Incentives Free products
Cons
Targets can be very high especially since Clinique tends to be in every department store and boots so you have lots of competition from your own brand. When counters are on a deficit Clinique has been known to cut hours resulting in team members being moved stores in short notice or being cut from full time to part time. Pay isn’t great but you do get 1% commission and 2% if the counter makes target except in the 4 years I worked there we only got 2% commission a handful of times. Lots of traffic stopping and having to call customers which is annoying for both staff and customers especially since stores like debenhams do not have phones that call outside of the building so we have to use our personal phones. Not a lot of development, in the 4 years I was there I was never asked where I would like to go with the company I always had to enquire about progression but still nothing happened.
