Pros

The Company is a non profit who has been in business 127 years in Denver. I like my manager! We are covered on a lot of insurances. We can take care of seriously ill patients and our palliative care is unique in the market because it is covered by the home health benefit and the CVNA can offer weekly care instead of monthly care which are competitors offer.

Cons

There is no advertising or promotional budget because of the non profit status. When many providers want a luncheon to see them, I cannot see them. My salary is the low. Commission is only $50 for a referral.

The CVNA aggressively listens to its employees through venues such as Glassdoor, Annual Surveys and a very flat organization with doors open for critique. Our new CEO joined the CVNA two years ago and we are on a path to broaden our business lines and at the same time maintaining our commitment to quality patient care. We look for opportunities to provide unique healthcare solutions! As a non profit, we our responsible stewards of the donations and funds to run the company. In many areas, you could say we are lean and mean - it is a continuing process to make sure we are making sure that our expenses bring the results required. In the areas of marketing, sales and exposure - our customers play a huge part in our business model - by referrals and high satisfaction in the services we provide. It is challenging to bring in the talent as a non profit. Appreciate your insight - as we go forward - we continue to look at all solutions/ideas to be able provide the healthcare solutions for the Colorado market.
