WORST Company I've EVER Worked For - Associate Compass Group USA Employee Review

Pros

Free food during lunch break

Cons

Compass Group is a cheap, stingy, unethical and deceiving company. They normalize unacceptable business practices and have endless tactics to strip employees from receiving standard benefits with manipulation and mind games. Have I even mentioned the substantial lack of communication? It’s horrid. No one ever knows what’s going, you will always be in the dark as long as you work here. It gets worse—employees are extremely overworked and the company loves to take advantage of hard working people. Their strategy is to understaff and overwork their dedicated employees, then brag about their cheap labor costs. No overtime to protect workers ? More like to protect business assets. One week vacation? Absolute nonsense. They'll even persuade you not to use your vacation days! Five sick days a year? That's barely the legal minimum. Upon being hired they won't elaborate your benefits in hopes you won't use them. Everything you have a right to know is extremely hard to find out, you have to rip this information out their teeth.

Pros

Autonomy, trust, not being tied to a desk, and encouragement to bring your authentic self to work are among the highlights. However, as a contractor, this may vary from account/site to site. Also, annual raises awarded, despite what the client schedule for increases looks like. A huge network of subsidiary companies

Cons

My current client site is one of the higher paying in my region, which is a good problem to have for some time, but leaves little room to grow financially. Also, growth rarely if ever happens staying in the same account, so financial/role growth will rest mostly upon pursuing other opportunities at different Compass accounts.
