Pros
They have a huge emphasis on safety The pay is somewhat decent
Cons
Management gaslights employees, I often experienced discrimination, harassment and retaliation from speaking up. Management is not open to the feedback from employees. For about three years, I begged for diversity training, and I only received false promises. The health insurance benefits are not great and although the pay is better than most food service jobs, expect to contribute a lot into your health insurance. We were often understaffed, and we did not receive much support from upper management. There is a huge disconnection between the companies mission, senior leadership and people working on the ground. Don't except huge raises, many times the raise you'll receive will not compensate for the rate of inflation. The HR department is useless, expect to wait hours before someone answers. The politics at Compass Group USA become exhausting, and often you'll find yourself advocating for your rights, you'll rarely be respected as a human. Managers are often undertrained. Compass Group USA sells a marketing campaign for being a great company, but they are not.
