Pros

Used to be a caring company that was great to work for and had good benefits.

Cons

New senior management group that no longer cares about those below them but rather care about making a name for themselves in order to be ready for the next advancement. Don't honor paid time off days or even holidays. For example, they set up conference calls on Christmas Eve. They expect people to work 24/7 and rarely, if ever, even say thank you for this extra time. New agenda doesn't make much sense in regards to the original company objective which is to feed kids good, nutritious meals that they are going to enjoy. They have created an environment of mistrust among middle and lower management - everyone is willing throw others under the bus in order to save themselves.

Pros

Autonomy, trust, not being tied to a desk, and encouragement to bring your authentic self to work are among the highlights. However, as a contractor, this may vary from account/site to site. Also, annual raises awarded, despite what the client schedule for increases looks like. A huge network of subsidiary companies

Cons

My current client site is one of the higher paying in my region, which is a good problem to have for some time, but leaves little room to grow financially. Also, growth rarely if ever happens staying in the same account, so financial/role growth will rest mostly upon pursuing other opportunities at different Compass accounts.
