Thank you for sharing your perspective. It differs from ours. Here’s why: From a financial performance perspective, Compassion is enjoying its 28th consecutive year of revenue growth and we anticipate that trend will continue into next year. However, not all channels are seeing the level of growth we believe is possible. Our growth in contributions from sponsorships has slowed in the last few years, consistent with trends in our sector. There are several reasons why this is the case, and we are addressing those directly.
We are very excited about significant innovation efforts that we believe will reinvigorate sponsorship growth. Those will take time to have their full effect. At the same time, our philanthropic beyond sponsorship contributions have tripled in the last five years, with continued signs of increased growth moving forward.
From a culture perspective, our last two anonymous employee surveys (2024 & 2025) reflect improvement across all eight indexes—including engagement, leadership, and well-being. From a global program point of view, in the last fiscal year we added more than 400 new frontline church partnerships around the world and invited over 210,00 new participants into our church-led program and are now serving a record 2.4 million children.
In terms of participant impact, the following statistics are highlights from a recent study of 99 program alumni that indicated: 1) 97% agreed that they have been released from poverty in Jesus' name; 2) 92% agreed that they are providing a better life for their children; and 3) 90% say they serve in their communities.
From a leadership perspective, we have a robust succession planning process for every critical role, including SVP roles. These highly skilled leaders stay sacrificially engaged because they believe in the mission and are fully committed to leading Compassion to an even better future.
At Compassion, we deeply value our mission and all the incredible team members who make it possible. We remain focused on building a healthy, thriving organization that is increasingly stepping into its full redemptive potential. To do that, we continually invite team members to share constructive input through our internal channels to help us improve moving forward. We thank you for your perspective. It will help us get better.
