Pros

The credit analysts are wonderful and will treat you with respect but even they are afraid of management. The vacation benefits are good

Cons

The managers are mean and afraid to speak up and they don't communicate and I'm telling you if you get hired unless you're strong inside your stomach will hurt everyday you pull into work

We sincerely appreciate your feedback. At Composites One, we are committed to a workplace based on respect, teamwork and communication. I personally read your comments with great disappointment that we missed the mark for you. We always want our team members to know they can comfortably approach their supervisor with any concern about their workplace or reach out to another manager if an issue is not resolved satisfactorily. Recently, we have launched a training initiative for our managers and supervisors to help them become more effective leaders in working with and developing their teams. We will use your input to reinforce the importance of this training. Composites One would not be the leader that we are within our industry without great team members who feel valued and respected. Overall, we are proud of our team member retention rate but work to continually improve their experience. I am sorry yours was not a lot better. Steve Dehmlow CEO, Composites One

Pros

Worth the multiple interviews!! Amazing Benefits more than I could have expected

Cons

Strenuous Hiring Process, but worth it the company is very caring and they do their due diligence on vetting new hires. The first few weeks are planned very welll and the structured training process is Awesome!

Pros

Most of the employees are decent people looking for sincere connections from their coworkers while others fake it so they can gossip or tattle. Learned a lot about the industry in a short time especially since the work load continues to pile up even for new hires. Buyers are permitted to work from home two days of the week after their 6 month probation period.

Cons

Never ending side projects or improvements that require employees to change how they were taught even just months prior. Less than 2% yearly pay increase for a company of this size seems crazy. Parts of the annual performance review are based on factors out of the buyers control with no indication that the company has a plan to rectify it but someone the buyer is still held responsible. Some senior salesmen are permitted to be aggressive/demanding to new hires who are still learning their job. Very strong chemical smell in the Lakeland office whenever a styrene shipment arrives usually on a Monday which lingers in the office for a few days and can make it difficult to concentrate. Senior employees gaslight new hires that there is no smell or that it doesn’t bother anyone else. Management does nothing to try to ventilate the office and even make a big deal if asked to open a door for fresh air. Many employees are related to each other.
