Pros

Benefits are better than average.

Cons

Management is not hired based on experience or skills and it shows. There is more meetings than necessary and absolutely nothing to show for them. Little to no growth in the business in regards to better ways of working. Every one is tenure and has the “we’ve always done it this way” attitude. So if you are new and innovative I promise you will not stay more than 2 years. I have never worked with so many closed minded people. Family business and it shows. They need to hear the truth from outside business auditors. Expand your diversity! Think outside the box. Under 40 - you will kill your career by sitting around learning absolutely nothing from these small minded individuals who were given the job for reasons other than their talents. They have a policy and procedures for everything but no one follows them because management doesn’t pay enough attention to their staff to notice.. or know them themselves. The real talent is the csrs and warehouse staff who take on all heavy workloads and criticism with absolutely no appreciation in return. I have never worked in a workplace where the direct manager didn’t know the business or have a log in to the systems. Imagine getting criticism by someone who has no idea what you did wrong, someone just told them to reprimand you. So do not expect constructive criticism.

Pros

Worth the multiple interviews!! Amazing Benefits more than I could have expected

Cons

Strenuous Hiring Process, but worth it the company is very caring and they do their due diligence on vetting new hires. The first few weeks are planned very welll and the structured training process is Awesome!

Pros

Most of the employees are decent people looking for sincere connections from their coworkers while others fake it so they can gossip or tattle. Learned a lot about the industry in a short time especially since the work load continues to pile up even for new hires. Buyers are permitted to work from home two days of the week after their 6 month probation period.

Cons

Never ending side projects or improvements that require employees to change how they were taught even just months prior. Less than 2% yearly pay increase for a company of this size seems crazy. Parts of the annual performance review are based on factors out of the buyers control with no indication that the company has a plan to rectify it but someone the buyer is still held responsible. Some senior salesmen are permitted to be aggressive/demanding to new hires who are still learning their job. Very strong chemical smell in the Lakeland office whenever a styrene shipment arrives usually on a Monday which lingers in the office for a few days and can make it difficult to concentrate. Senior employees gaslight new hires that there is no smell or that it doesn’t bother anyone else. Management does nothing to try to ventilate the office and even make a big deal if asked to open a door for fresh air. Many employees are related to each other.
