Pros

I work in development, so I cannot speak to the other areas. That being said, "ConnectWise" is one of three companies that include, ConnectWise, LabTech, and Quosal. Quosal is based out of Washington state, while ConnectWise and LabTech are based in Tampa. Having three growing companies under one roof theoretically should allow for movement between all 3 companies, and it is encouraged. I have seen support people from ConnectWise move to Quosal, and Devs move from LabTech to ConnectWise and the other way around. So that's a plus. For ConnectWise dev, I appreciate the fact that the senior dev management team does acknowledge pain points and at least attempt to address them. You don't see that everywhere. They are keen to hear new ideas and willing to implement them if it makes sense. The pay is pretty fair, but you need to negotiate that up front. As others have mentioned, stocked kitchen with all the carbs and caffeine you could want. The $8 stipend for the restaurants in either of the two buildings comes in handy. Dev environment is pretty laid back. Everyone is great to work with and I personally can't "see" any friction between workers I have seen at other places. Essentially they expect you to put on your big boy/girl pants and take a little responsibility. The naysayers and negative Nancy's usually don't hang around and there isn't a lot of turnover in the development side of the house. CEO is energetic and passionate about the success of the company's clients and employee's. Overall, I think it is a company worth checking out and would recommend to anyone.

Cons

While the stocked kitchen and the $8 stipend are nice, im wondering how long it can last as the company grows. It would kind of be nice to have the option to put $2080/yr into my 401k. That would pay me back more in the long run. Or maybe apply it towards lowering my healthcare costs. Stocked kitchen, nice, but how much does all that cost? Again, put it in my paycheck, or apply it towards healthcare costs, or directly to my paycheck. They still use PTO and Sick time. Just give us PTO with the caveat that if you are out suddenly more than 3 days you need doctor note. PTO is a little skimpy until you hit the 5 year mark, even then still runs shallow. I have friends who have been at places for 5 years and get 5 weeks of vacation. Would be nice to at least get the day after Thanksgiving off (have to use your floating holiday/PTO)

Thanks for the feedback! I'm very glad to hear about the positive attitude in your group and that leaders take the time to address things that need to be addressed. If that continues, things will only continue to get better. I'm not sure if you've seen it yet, but we do offer a colleague survey at least once a year that asks about things like benefits and such. I see your points about the lunch stipend and PTO time and I would encourage you to consistently and constructively deliver feedback on these areas you think could be improved. I will tell you that I know of 2 cases where feedback was given about a particular benefit and changes were made. Growing companies have a lot of financial considerations to make and have to look at the big picture, but I know ConnectWise values it's "human capital" even more than the traditional bottom line, so speak up! It's Your Voice, Your Company. I will share your sentiments as well. Thank you!

Pros

You get right into cyber sales and b2b. Good start and resume builder. But a stepping stone.

Cons

Huge non compete so most of the market is off limits. Although there is zero holding them back from hiring from the laid off group of their own competitors. Which points to how little they actually trainer you at any level. They are ran by sales managers not leaders. RSM side is hit or miss CRO burned half the sales floor, 50% turn over. Hired all the laid off kaseya reps and then quit Research the team you are looking to work on, reach out to reps and don’t get sold. Most new reps are getting paid significantly more than existing reps. They will low ball all internal reps into low earning positions and keep moving goal posts. One rep could be at 70/30 while the new person they train/ mentor is at 90/90.
