Pros

Convenient NYC location, smart people, good pay and solid bonus/stock perks. Great portfolio of respected brands across many categories. Travel to other offices (if you're into that) and a highly multi-cultural population.

Cons

Like many big players, COTY has had its share of issues (boys club. nepotism, overinflated in certain areas and under staffed in others) - but the crux of it started with a turnover in executive leadership last year. Troubles led to a turnover of CEO, and a nearly complete change in company culture, resulting from new leadership's background in CPG/FMCG and lack of beauty experience. Entire company is being restructured, including the demand to move most global staff and strategic functions to Amsterdam (no thanks folks). This has resulted in huge attrition and what will be huge gaps and a lack of continuity at the most critical levels of the organization. Nepotism has put unqualified and unproven new or existing heads in critical positions while overlooking the talent that has earned it. Regardless of your track record, you're being asked to "reapply" for your job. The handling, comms and general empathy by the HR and leadership groups around people's futures has been absolutely awful, with people finding out about job loss or redundancy indirectly while getting zero feedback or support from HR. The result is what is quickly becoming a skeleton organization, a once regarded beauty player that is now turning into a pure play CPG company by both focus and marketing philosophy.

Pros

Hybrid / insurance / summer fridays

Cons

The HR department is virtually nonexistent, with very little transparency or communication with employees. There are no bonuses, and morale is extremely low. The company feels like a sinking ship—I would strongly advise looking elsewhere.
