Pros

- Work-life balance was incredible. But that has more to do with your manager and team you work with than the company itself. - Benefits. Lots of paid-time off (unlimited), access to mental health resources, and more.

Cons

- Leadership is truly evil and heartless. Over the last 12 months, they have dismantled entire teams, laid off an enormous amount of hard-working, dedicated employees that gave their service for decades. They let go of talented colleagues that made an impact and kept people that had reputations for being lazy, unqualified and not contributing meaningfully. - They hired McKinsey consultants to evaluate colleagues for the purpose of deciding who to let go and they allowed these consultants to book conferences room for days at a time to conduct these discussions. It was one of the worst experiences I've ever had knowing the company I worked for was causing this type of anxiety and worry in the work place. They essentially rubbed it in our faces and depleted confidence and morale. - The CEO made over $10 million dollars in 2025 for stock options alone but in 2026 he and other leadership staff laid off dozens and dozens and dozens of hard-working, extremely brilliant people that deserved better. - They fired the previous CMO because of office politics (apparently the president of Walden didn't like him or his ideas) and they proceeded to remove the people that worked directly under him. It was straight out of a high school film. To work under leadership that acts this way was an embarassment. - Extremely competitive. People seem to always one-up each other, take credit for other's work, suck up to higher ups, etc. - Favoritism. As someone who felt the benefits of being favorited, it was clear it existed and it shouldn't be the case. - THERE IS NO CAREER DEVELOPMENT. No one gets promoted and in the rare event it does happen, it's because of favoritism. Most colleagues I worked with have been in the same role/level for nearly 10 years or more. Stay here long enough and you'll be wasting precious time gaining experiences and growth.

Pros

Covista is an organization that has a clear vision and does well in actively pursuing that vision. Covista is willing to adapt, try new things, and trusts its employees to find success. When Covista has fallen short of goals, they have been honest about it, quickly pivoted to address those areas, and then celebrate when we achieve goals. Overall - I am very happy here at Covista. My favorite part of working here is the people. Covista has a culture in which care isn't a buzzword, but is practiced.

Cons

I do wish Covista was more relaxed with RTO expectations. I am not angry about it, and generally am in favor for an in office experience, but wish it was not 4 days a week. 3 days a week feels right. This is a very small 'con' as generally, I am very pleased with Covista.

Pros

Covista is positioned in exactly the right industry. There is a massive, structural gap between the supply of healthcare providers and the growing market demand, which keeps our student enrollment rates incredibly strong and provides great job stability. It feels great to work for a company that genuinely helps students achieve their goals while solving a real-world problem. On top of that, leadership is highly focused on innovation—we are actively working on some really exciting AI initiatives and forward-thinking tech projects. The culture is incredibly supportive, leadership is strong and transparent, and the work-life balance is excellent. Highly recommend working here.

Cons

With rapid innovation and new tech initiatives, navigating cross-departmental alignment can sometimes take a bit of time, but it’s a natural part of a company growing and evolving in the right direction.
