Pros

The PTO, health/retirement benefits, childcare, legal and other benefits are the absolute best. The relationships you make with your colleagues are invaluable and having the freedom to do your job and solve problems is empowering.

Cons

The executive and C-level leadership are constantly pushing the agenda of colleague "Care". In every role I've been in, there is always a lack of concrete, transparent goals to be met. If large initiatives come into play, we are only given how the initiative will benefit the organization but we are not told how the specifics of the initiative will actually affect our job, our day to day, our livelihood. I used to think this organization cared about me because of the massively attractive benefits package, but at the end of the day, they are about being at the top of an industry at any cost necessary within legal boundaries. Expect to be treated with care by only those who are working in the trenches with you because all upper leadership are focused on, is revenue generation and beating the competition even if that means losing those employees they claim to value.

Pros

Covista is an organization that has a clear vision and does well in actively pursuing that vision. Covista is willing to adapt, try new things, and trusts its employees to find success. When Covista has fallen short of goals, they have been honest about it, quickly pivoted to address those areas, and then celebrate when we achieve goals. Overall - I am very happy here at Covista. My favorite part of working here is the people. Covista has a culture in which care isn't a buzzword, but is practiced.

Cons

I do wish Covista was more relaxed with RTO expectations. I am not angry about it, and generally am in favor for an in office experience, but wish it was not 4 days a week. 3 days a week feels right. This is a very small 'con' as generally, I am very pleased with Covista.

Pros

My colleagues are amazing. Everyone is fully dedicated to their work and our mission.

Cons

Without a doubt, top leadership is corrupt and driven by profit. They do not care about their staff and only care about themselves. The CEO literally made $17,244,988 in total compensation for the 2025 fiscal year; however, there were countless of hardworking colleagues who were let go. I am not sure how to make sense of that and why someone can make so much and be so heartless. I say this, as I know many senior leaders at the individual university level who were let go just because he woke up one day and wanted to go in a different direction. The schools are run by the CEO who is an attorney and has no concept when it comes to healthcare other than increasing tuition to vulnerable students who might otherwise not have an opportunity to earn a degree. It is sickening. I wish shareholders would replace the CEO, but he is untouchable given how much revenue he was brought in. He can host his town halls to try to relate to us, but everyone sees through him.
