Pros

Great colleagues, good pay (thanks to the former owner, Laureate), remote work, enjoyable work with students.

Cons

Adtalem and their leadership, for all their woke preachiness about mental health, cultural diversity, supporting LGBTQ's, valuing employees... really only cares about three things: MONEY, MONEY and more MONEY. Leadership initiated a huge RIF which left the organization understaffed and employees incredibly overworked... all while dealing with the mental and emotional toll of two long years of a pandemic. But, hey, we got a single "mental health day" everyone was stressed out about finding time to take off because we already have so much work and not enough hands on board! Then they act surprised when people start resigning in droves... fleeing like rats from a sinking ship. Suddenly they are having town halls advising us of how concerned they are about "retaining talent." Please speak to your leadership if you are thinking about leaving.... EXCEPT every single person that resigns gets the same treatment.. an impersonal email from HR with a "personal link" and multi choice questions to provide feedback. Lol No one even gives a crap enough to actually face all these employees who are quitting.. many highly tenured... and have a conversation to hear directly from them why they are so unhappy.... You'd think that people with more than a decade of service would matter at least... NOPE! They are too busy trying to figure out how to micro manage every single second of your day and make your life a living hell instead or treating the majority of employees like the adults they are and managing the ones that need it! But nope! The ones that actually NEED micromanaging are left to do absolutely nothing, frustrating the rest of their colleagues beyond measure and, apparently, they cannot be fired for some mysterious reason... which probably includes the fact that they are already so short staffed and nobody shows up for interviews! (probably because they read these honest reviews!!!)The latest assault on employees was a training that spent the entire time providing you threatening reminders that you are now REQUIRED to take a 30 minute break or will be DISCIPLINED UP TO AND INCLUDING TERMINATION. Wait... so those of us that work hard risk being fired for not taking LUNCH? But we have a pile of staff here that work 8 hours without producing anything meaningful... day may after day... and they are SAFE?? Yep! Welcome to the company culture that is ADTALEM! My guess is, they've figured out that they can ensure they are cutting out 2.5 hours a week of pay for every staff member and many won't stay late or come in early... magically saving .. MORE MONEY!! Because certainly, for all their claims of wanting to be the best in class for students and provide a great environment for colleagues, not only forcing people to take lunches they don't want or need, but threatening to fire them over it is in exactly NOBODY'S interest! In addition, there is absolutely no consideration for the differing roles and responsibilities some employees may have within the organization or time periods in which this may be virtually impossible due to short staff etc. But hey, it's ADTALEM. nothing makes sense.... except that you can count on more dumb rules, more leadership cheer leading sessions that ring hollow, more lies and just wait for the next shoe to drop. I always loved my job but I truly hate this organization. I'm so happy when my colleagues escape (I.e. quit)... I only wish I were in a position to make a break for it myself. It's like life on death row here... just waiting for the end . If it weren't for my manager and awesome students, I'd pray for the chair! Benefits used to be awesome. They get worse and worse every year.. crappiest health insurance companies, less in-network options, worse coverage.,...but I'm sure leadership is taking home some GREAT bonuses!

Pros

Covista is an organization that has a clear vision and does well in actively pursuing that vision. Covista is willing to adapt, try new things, and trusts its employees to find success. When Covista has fallen short of goals, they have been honest about it, quickly pivoted to address those areas, and then celebrate when we achieve goals. Overall - I am very happy here at Covista. My favorite part of working here is the people. Covista has a culture in which care isn't a buzzword, but is practiced.

Cons

I do wish Covista was more relaxed with RTO expectations. I am not angry about it, and generally am in favor for an in office experience, but wish it was not 4 days a week. 3 days a week feels right. This is a very small 'con' as generally, I am very pleased with Covista.

Pros

Covista is positioned in exactly the right industry. There is a massive, structural gap between the supply of healthcare providers and the growing market demand, which keeps our student enrollment rates incredibly strong and provides great job stability. It feels great to work for a company that genuinely helps students achieve their goals while solving a real-world problem. On top of that, leadership is highly focused on innovation—we are actively working on some really exciting AI initiatives and forward-thinking tech projects. The culture is incredibly supportive, leadership is strong and transparent, and the work-life balance is excellent. Highly recommend working here.

Cons

With rapid innovation and new tech initiatives, navigating cross-departmental alignment can sometimes take a bit of time, but it’s a natural part of a company growing and evolving in the right direction.
