Pros

Decent benefits and okay pay, great lower management and colleagues who have been supporting eachother through uppermanagement's unnecessary changes. Great work life balance prior to RTO

Cons

Prior to the RTO policy, I truly loved my position with Adtalem. I was a top contributor on my team, highly involved in company groups and training, and preparing to take steps for promotion into management. All of that was stripped away upon the announcement of RTO The team was told in an emotionless manner, within weeks of a previous round of layoffs that was already leaving people uneasy. The response from my colleagues was loud- people unhappy, worried, unsupportive, and unrecognized by the change. So many people with families and mental health struggles who were not represented in the in office culture theyre trying to sell. Following that outcry was months of silence and a severe lack of communication or transparency from upper management. If Adtalem had chosen to be honest and open about their RTO policy perhaps morale wouldn't be as low as it is now, but instead most staff were left in the dark and given the same response: "comply or leave." Many people were angry. I was heartbroken- and upon bringing up my situation to upper management that I was financially unable to afford the commute to office- I was offered no solution, empathy, or compromise. Meanwhile, a majority of my team stayed remote- able to keep their positions simply because they fell out of the 50 mile radius. I was forced to change the direction of my career, future, and plans. I feel as if I dedicated years to this company to not recieve any of that courtesy back. And while I'm no longer with the company, I now hear sad and angry feedback from my former peers on how the RTO affects their morale and work life balance. I saw Adtalem as a company I wanted a future with, but because I could not afford the commute, I felt like a replaceable number to them in the end. If the company rescinded their RTO policy and showed genuine care to its employees (TEACH Values), then I would consider going back, thats how much i loved my job. But unless that happens, I'm overall disappointed with the companies changes and believe people should be aware of the recent policies before applying.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about working at Adtalem. We are very disappointed to hear how RTO has affected you personally. The decision to be back in the office four days per week is one we didn't take lightly and we recognize that returning to the workplace has been an adjustment. Our reason for moving back to in office is because we believe that establishing the workplace as the primary space for innovation, communication and creativity will enhance our culture and will best position us to make a lasting impact in our mission to expand access to education and advance health equity. We are sorry to hear you did not receive this information in a very compassionate way, and we will share this feedback internally. We are actively working with our leaders to improve the communication of important information to their teams in a timely and appropriate manner. Thank you again for sharing your experience with us and we wish you the best in your future endeavors.

Pros

Covista is an organization that has a clear vision and does well in actively pursuing that vision. Covista is willing to adapt, try new things, and trusts its employees to find success. When Covista has fallen short of goals, they have been honest about it, quickly pivoted to address those areas, and then celebrate when we achieve goals. Overall - I am very happy here at Covista. My favorite part of working here is the people. Covista has a culture in which care isn't a buzzword, but is practiced.

Cons

I do wish Covista was more relaxed with RTO expectations. I am not angry about it, and generally am in favor for an in office experience, but wish it was not 4 days a week. 3 days a week feels right. This is a very small 'con' as generally, I am very pleased with Covista.

Pros

My colleagues are amazing. Everyone is fully dedicated to their work and our mission.

Cons

Without a doubt, top leadership is corrupt and driven by profit. They do not care about their staff and only care about themselves. The CEO literally made $17,244,988 in total compensation for the 2025 fiscal year; however, there were countless of hardworking colleagues who were let go. I am not sure how to make sense of that and why someone can make so much and be so heartless. I say this, as I know many senior leaders at the individual university level who were let go just because he woke up one day and wanted to go in a different direction. The schools are run by the CEO who is an attorney and has no concept when it comes to healthcare other than increasing tuition to vulnerable students who might otherwise not have an opportunity to earn a degree. It is sickening. I wish shareholders would replace the CEO, but he is untouchable given how much revenue he was brought in. He can host his town halls to try to relate to us, but everyone sees through him.
