Pros

You'll occasionally find coworkers who are fantastic to work alongside but that's about it.

Cons

I left before all the WFH/RTO changes and I'm beyond thankful that I had. My entire team had been spread across the US so the whole "collaboration" part of RTO would have been absolutely moot. They micromanaged every hour of every day, and if anything looked "suspicious" on your tracked time there would be questions. Zero quality control, zero consideration for the fluctuations of how projects can vary on time to completion, far more work than could be done in a reasonable amount of time, and zero care for the employees - getting things finished by any means necessary was all that mattered. Folks lied, talked behind people's backs, a lot of gossip, and if you didn't immediately say yes to their demands and did anything to push back even a little bit, you were seen as a problem. There was also no rhyme or reason to anything - every initiative they wanted to strive for was scrapped after a few weeks/months so there never felt like there was a reason to do anything beyond the usual. All in all, a very toxic culture with zero direction aside from making as much money as possible for the higher ups while the lower ranking employees work themselves to the bone. I'm still working through the pressures this job put on me after all the years of negativity, inconsistency, and micromanagement.

Pros

Covista is an organization that has a clear vision and does well in actively pursuing that vision. Covista is willing to adapt, try new things, and trusts its employees to find success. When Covista has fallen short of goals, they have been honest about it, quickly pivoted to address those areas, and then celebrate when we achieve goals. Overall - I am very happy here at Covista. My favorite part of working here is the people. Covista has a culture in which care isn't a buzzword, but is practiced.

Cons

I do wish Covista was more relaxed with RTO expectations. I am not angry about it, and generally am in favor for an in office experience, but wish it was not 4 days a week. 3 days a week feels right. This is a very small 'con' as generally, I am very pleased with Covista.

Pros

Covista is positioned in exactly the right industry. There is a massive, structural gap between the supply of healthcare providers and the growing market demand, which keeps our student enrollment rates incredibly strong and provides great job stability. It feels great to work for a company that genuinely helps students achieve their goals while solving a real-world problem. On top of that, leadership is highly focused on innovation—we are actively working on some really exciting AI initiatives and forward-thinking tech projects. The culture is incredibly supportive, leadership is strong and transparent, and the work-life balance is excellent. Highly recommend working here.

Cons

With rapid innovation and new tech initiatives, navigating cross-departmental alignment can sometimes take a bit of time, but it’s a natural part of a company growing and evolving in the right direction.
