Pros

Great Brand, some really good people working here.

Cons

Regardless of commitment and progress, hidden agendas mean you will not get a fair say in anything. No matter how they say they support you, nobody will back you up when you need a fair say.

Pros

- remote - great quarterly incentive - modern tech stack

Cons

The biggest downside of working at Crane is the top down culture of micro management. This includes daily checklists for jira updates, tracking software that tracks things such as who you talk to most on Teams, code reviews that focus more on formatting and white spaces rather than logic and delivering value, and the list goes on. Crane was not like this when I first joined and the IT department grew substantially, but I think chalking it up to scaling is more of an excuse than true root cause. Additionally, communication from leadership is awful and paired with the micromanagement leads to low morale across the engineering team.
