Pros
Low barrier to entry. Stable employment. Extra shifts and overtime available. Flexible schedule. My ratings are based on what I would expect from a security guard company in the bay area, so the bar is low compared to jobs in other fields.
Cons
Low pay, but can't really complain because of how easy it is to land this job. You get what you sign up for which is an easy, stable, but dead end job. Sometimes you will need to deal with difficult, homeless people.
