Pros

Remote positions available. Schedule can be flexible at the discretion of your manager.

Cons

Where do I start? A manager told me about a "payroll position" becoming available. My job title never changed to Payroll Coordinator, even though she said she would inquire about it with HR. Took on the primary responsibilities of a payroll coordinator, although my job title stayed the same as a Billing Coordinator. The job description phrase "other duties/projects as assigned" leaves the loop hole for management to off load excessive work on to your remain duties. Another Manager also told me she would teach me Spanish to assist with phone queues. I expressed I was not bilingual. I also wasn't given the CHOICE to choose whether I wanted to speak Spanish or not. This person also told me to participate in groups chats such as "Payroll-Girls". Why does the name of chat have to be gender/sex based? Isn’t Cross Country inclusive? Instead of her telling me about instant responses being needed on this chat, she sent me a message about lack of participation in this chat. She never expressed upon my training with her that this chat was indeed a priority. Such lack of communicated on her part. I expressed all these concerns to the an HR representative and OMG her behavior was that of workplace violence. She me called insubordinate in an email and verbally in a video call. She also didn't give me the opportunity to speak without her constantly interrupting me. I calmly asked her to stop interrupting me, she ignored my request. Unbelievable. I'm astounded by this poor behavior of a HR representative. I wrote about my experiences in my 90 day hire review on DayForce and ironically I was terminated the next day. Was not surprised at all by this retaliation.

Pros

Remote first environment, co workers are great.

Cons

I genuinely wanted to build a long-term career with the company. Unfortunately, my experience was impacted by repeated instances where commitments made by leadership were not followed through. Within the Enterprise Sales division, I observed significant leadership and organizational challenges during my time there. Communication around compensation, commission plans, and career advancement was often inconsistent. There were multiple discussions about updated commission structures, increased earning opportunities, and promotional paths that ultimately did not materialize, which made it difficult to maintain confidence in leadership. I also perceived inconsistency in how employees were evaluated and retained. It often appeared that personal relationships influenced opportunities and employment decisions more than performance, which negatively affected morale across the team. It’s disappointing because I believe the company has talented people and strong potential. I truly wish my experience at Cross Country had been different.
