Leadership Problems From the Start - Managing Consultant CrossCountry Consulting Employee Review

Pros

Some coworkers were great people.

Cons

The interview process looks much better than the actual job. Once you start, the pressure is constant and expectations keep growing. Work never really slows down, even when people are already stretched thin. Managers often focus on the wrong things and miss the effort people put in. That creates a toxic environment where good work is not always valued. Some leaders act in a narcissistic way and make the workplace harder than it should be. Over time, stress builds up and people start to burn out.

Pros

It is a large consulting company, and I constantly wondered how such a dysfunctional organization managed to keep operating.

Cons

There was virtually no coordination within or across teams, operations were severely disorganized, and management was incapable of making decisions that benefited everyone. Most decisions were driven by self interest and routinely came at the expense of employees. An absolutely dreadful experience!
