Pros

I started at CrossCountry earlier this year looking for something new and exciting. I have spent my entire career in accounting, and I was ready to leverage those skills in an operations role. It has lived up to and exceeded every expectation I have had for this Company. The founding Partners only hire the highest caliber of professionals and truly know and look out for every single one of the consultants in the Firm. I have witnessed firsthand, on several occasions, where leadership cares so much about their people, they won't put them on a traveling job due to a personal situation, or they have removed a consultant from a job that became too mundane. I have even seen projects turned down because it wasn't a right fit for us. This is incredibly rare in a consulting company in general that drives revenue from its consultants being billable! With that being said, I do think people need to realize that it might now always be a perfect job match in consulting, meaning a job that someone may want specifically may not work out due to timing or skillsets. Anyone coming to any consulting Firm has to trust their leadership and have a degree of flexibility to be successful. Over my time here, I have made it a goal to meet every person in the firm personally. The people are truly exceptional- brilliant, personable, and people that want to spend your days working alongside. I know big things will continue to come for CrossCountry, and I am so grateful to be a part of such a wonderful place to work!

Cons

No cons to share, but as I mentioned above, the nature of consulting is being okay with the unknown and being flexible to a degree.

Pros

Some colleagues demonstrated actual competence at their work.

Cons

• Senior staff controlled which people received high-profile assignments and advancement opportunities based on personal relationships rather than merit or performance • Colleagues outside the established inner circle were routinely overlooked for roles and projects while less experienced people with better connections moved ahead repeatedly • I brought relevant qualifications and took on difficult assignments, but my career progression stalled because I lacked the relationships that mattered for advancement • Career development conversations and advancement decisions happened without transparency or input from those being affected, determined entirely by people in charge • The organization made no effort to acknowledge the pattern of favoritism or implement systems that would ensure fair consideration for all employees
