Good sub-cultures, difficult ownership - Manager CrossCountry Consulting Employee Review

Pros

Good and smart people working on the delivery side. Individual team cultures are excellent.

Cons

Partners are sharks, PE ownership has brought on significant bureaucratic red tape, which the burden of falls heavily on the consultants instead of operations for some reason. Bonuses suck due to outrageous targets set by PE owner. Overall culture is non-existent (though raved about by leadership) showing they are either out of touch or just displaying optimism performatively.

Pros

Benefits, decent pay, and nice people who work hard.

Cons

Leadership in some critical areas of the biz hasn't evolved at the same pace as the company's growth -- driving great talent to competitors. DEI efforts often fall on POC employees to champion, while recruiting, retention, and leadership representation don't reflect the same commitment. A competitive salary isn't enough when the company's stated values don't match the reality employees experience.
