Pros

This law firm prizes work ethic and dedication, if you show that you care for the work you do and put in the effort they will more than meet you halfway. For example, when I needed to return to college or tour law schools and had no choice but to be out of the office they were always understanding and flexible. When I wanted more active opportunities I was able to sit in on live depositions and mediations. I have been repeatedly offered not only a chance to work but a place to learn, as well as opportunities to cultivate invaluable skills. I've never hesitated to interact with the paralegals, associates or partners, and often I could ask a question and not only get a solution but an answer. The individuals who make up this office are genuine and there is always something happening that makes my day actually fun whereas elsewhere, it would be just a series of tasks. I have gone from an intern to a full time legal assistant who works directly with our head paralegal and I couldn't be more thrilled. This is the best job I've ever had and it's the reason I've kept coming back to NJ after every college semester / graduation. I'm only leaving now to attend the law school they helped me get into.

Cons

Speaking as a legal assistant, a few of the newer associates are still learning and can have a tendency to be forgetful. Until then, they need some extra reminding on when and what is due regarding their cases.

Pros

The Atlanta office personnel are professional, reasonable, and competent. Nothing I write in my review of the Chicago office applies to the other offices.

Cons

I worked in the Chicago office, where there is a revolving door of associates. So far, 80% of the associates have not lasted a year. I didn’t gain meaningful experience working here, had little autonomy, and was micromanaged and belittled frequently.
