Pros

Good pay, allows remote work

Cons

Often as it goes with new companies, CUTEK will make enticing promises - just as any company wishing to expand - but the reality is very different. Requests for training or any sort of job assistance are not acknowledged or provided. You will be expected to learn new concepts on the job and still deliver projects timely without proper training or support. Managers claim to listen to your requests and feedback, but rarely is there any follow-through. When bringing up any of these concerns to management, they immediately deflect and place the blame on the developer. In addition to this, CUTEK uses seemingly generic or template responses when responding to concerns from their employees, evidence provided by their responses to employee feedback, and the Glassdoor reviews. They are unable to even proofread the responses before posting them. This may be due to the fact that the managers are too busy flying on planes and traveling around attending social events. Furthermore, supervisors will speak to your coworkers (not your managers) about your performance without your presence and evaluate work progress on something you’ve never been trained for. Clearly, the lack of training is an ongoing problem as described by the other reviews left by former employees. If you’re willing to sacrifice your life for decent pay, CUTEK is great for you.

Thank you for taking the time to review and share feedback with us. We pride ourselves in having a great business model and providing opportunities for employees to learn new skills. CUTEK also maintains a high level of professionalism and expectations for employees to communicate their needs and be truthful about their workload. Training is always available to those who request it and are invested in their own growth. I am sorry that your experiences with the company were not up to your expectations and you did not take advantage of the training opportunities provided. We provide both ample training and cross-training opportunities to all employees and have an open door policy for communication for all employees. Managers do not discuss employee performance with other employees, but often times when an employee is not performing peers will jump in to assist in picking up the slack to maintain client satisfaction, and for that we appreciate our team who is willing to go above and beyond when others are not able to. As any employer, we enjoy providing flexibility in schedules to employees who are demonstrating excellent work and delivering projects to our clients with quality. Some projects may require work outside of normal business hours but CUTEK also values the work life balance and works with employees to make sure time is managed appropriately across all levels of the organization. Thank you for your feedback and we will continue to reflect internally about ways in which we can improve our team's growth and successes as we support the needs of our fantastic clients across the nation. We wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors.

Pros

None, decent pay I guess if I need to list one.

Cons

First of all, someone needs to point out the obvious deception used by the company to inflate their Glassdoor review score. A negative review was posted August 13th 2024, absolutely slamming their management team, and the following day on August 13th, a "sweet and honest" four star review was left by some "employee", that does exactly what the negative reviews state they will do. You can feel how laced this August 14th review is with anger from their C-suite realizing their failure of a company. In this review, they flip the blame BACK ON THE DEVELOPER by saying "there is no micromanagement" (despite MULTIPLE negative reviews stating otherwise) - "if you can't handle multiple projects at once, this place might not be for you" Seriously? Is this company actually for real? This August 14th review is very obviously a plant by some disheveled individual in management that can't stand to see the truth about their company aired out in public. They'll even mention to employees how "people leave online anonymous reviews these days and it's not the right thing to do" during their exit interviews. This company is deceptive and malignant and should be shut down. This is mine boggling that they would create a fake review PUBLICLY in such an obvious manner, are they all dense here? Management needs to reevaluate their morals. They claim to be a leader in the industry - this is a lie. I've worked in FinTech for a decade across the country at multiple institutions - not a single one has heard of Cutek before. They are MID, and they have mid talent. They can barely get an API working for their internal products. The obvious review inflation by this abhorrent company is appalling and embarrassing. A grown adult left that review and more than likely also replied to their own. As far as work culture, terrible. No training. Micromanagement 24/7. All the negative reviews are true, there is a reason they are so detailed and lengthy. And there is a reason CUTEK copy and pastes their responses to every negative reply, because that's all they can muster, because it is the truth. Absolutely EMBARRASSING.
