Pros

Cvent is a big company, and it sounds like people's experiences here are really different based on which division and which team they work with. I work with the Enterprise Events team in Professional Services. My teammates, supervisor, and middle management are incredible. Everyone works hard and shows up on time. No one micro-manages me. I get to set my own schedule; as long as the work gets done, how I get it done is my business. There's always someone willing to lend a hand when you're underwater. I trust my supervisor, who listens to me and assigns me projects that are relevant to my interests and that help me grow in my role. My middle management is accessible, helpful, and communicative. They make changes based on what I need to get my projects accomplished right, even when that costs some money to get done. The job can be stressful, but working with people as good as this team makes it entirely worthwhile.

Cons

Stressful work often with long hours (45-60 hours/week is common for me). If there are weekend events that you're managing and you're a salaried employee, you're expected to work on weekends without additional compensation. This seems to happen once every 6-12 weeks for me.

Pros

Great sales leadership, great sales team, lots of really good sales tools. The Sales teams and AM teams are really outstanding, as is the sales centric culture here. Sales leadership is proactive, sharp, and seems to adapt well.

Cons

Pay and benefits are... poor. In sales they can get away with it b/c the culture is so good but for other things, the company is really just cheap. they lose a lot of talent b/c they leave for average salaries - Cvent is below average. Sales training and enablement is a mess. It's a very reactive team, focused on checking the boxes. They talk a lot about moving fast, iterating... but things are very slow, get bottled up with leadership a lot. Leaders in this group are mixed. When they are focused and listening they can be good, they tend to fight for their people well. But they don't listen a lot, mostly they just push for the answer they wanted from the beginning, and b/c they are trying to go fast, they rarely slow down and look at the big picture. Then when there are bumps in the road or complaints later, they are suprised.
