Pros
- In-depth learning and good opportunities (if you are willing + its a big employer-hence, expect a lot of competition around) - Appreciation of good work - Value of timely work delivery and organising work. - Good Amenities (food and transport) - good salary + recognition of overtime work (double pay) + if company performs good - it pays you more (as it believes that its the people who contributed the growth and achievement) - Personally, the team in which I worked was a real good one and all the 3 mentors (one retired while I was a part of them) were just great. They believed in me, and supported me whenever needed (both professionally and personally). While they would criticise me when things go south attributable to me, but they would ensure that everyone (including too management) sees and recognises the good work I did. So yes, that kind a gave me a confidence which shaped me a better person and reach where i currently am! - lastly, timely pay!
Cons
Not many as such but just to name a few: - seeking perfection in certain works sometimes leads to monotony and injures or even kills creativity sometimes. - similar to other such workplace - this too has internal politics and at least a few ounces of red tapism (my personal view) With the right HOD, the cons might not be felt at all (and vice-versa!) lol
