Pros
A UK tech company with cool products and progressive views on topics like Women-In-Tech, Encryption and Privacy. A culture that allows you to focus on your role and working with peers/customers rather than bland corporate initiatives or filling in irrelevant paperwork - this was a refreshing change to rest of the UK tech sector. Offices and customers all over the world, so travel available for those interested. I've been to lots of countries I otherwise wouldn't have. Its been interesting learning about other working cultures around the world too. Fairly rapid promotion opportunities because company growing so fast. However I'd caution that this does mean taking on genuine responsibility/challenges or targets rather than getting promoted for doing the same job. Pretty good at making decisions quickly Almost all my peers/co-workers have become friends and some will be long-term friends. Lots of people live together if they are based in more expensive cities.
Cons
Still a young company, doesn't come with all the structure/processes you would see at an older business. Still a small company so everyone always busy. This reduces ability for experimentation or work on perceived low value activities. Teams have to make tough decisions about how to spend their time. International customer base can mean awkward hours juggling timezones sometimes VC funded so is very focussed on short term financial performance
