Naturally beautiful area. Met some very nice people.
Cons
No diversity. If you're not a student or don't have an MD or PHd, you are basically NOTHING here. You will not advance and you cannot work your way up. There is a very elitist attitude towards administrative and operational staff. They won't pay you well and they won't even appreciate you. As an operations manager I was reduced to taking notes in meetings and all my ideas were ignored. It was extremely hierarchical. I thought, as a place of learning, Dartmouth would be open minded, but I've met more down to earth leaders in the corporate world. I never again want to work in Higher Education. I know have a job at a Healthcare tech company and I have advanced more in 1 year than i did in the 3 I spent at Dartmouth.
