Pros
A lot of nice colleagues who initially felt proud to be part of the Dartmouth community. Many hardworking people. Some departments are much better than others. Good benefits package.
Cons
Not listing my work area as it's niche, but there is a fair amount of toxic management. Bad behavior by management is swept under the rug. Salaries were not fair for the workload. Very little diversity. They like to talk about diversity, but there is some kind of disconnect there. It starts feeling more like just talking the talk. The area is beautiful, but the housing market is awful. Not much to do up there unless you like to ski. People talk about living in the "Dartmouth Bubble". After awhile, I understood what that meant. I also realized that it was clear who was on the inside and outside of that "bubble".
