Cons
DSI was at one point was a pretty good place to work. There are a bunch of intelligent people that work there that over time were beaten down. Over the last two years, the owner fired his son as CEO, and they promoted the Sales VP as the new CEO. Huge mistake unless the plan was the run the company down to the ground as fast as possible and create a culture of fear. One of the very few consistency of the company was the CTO. He genuinely cared about development and most people stayed because of him. He was fired with little explanation from anyone after 20 plus years at the company. There have been multiple rounds of layoffs. Many of my friends lost their job and were shown zero dignity. They were shown zero empathy and respect. The reasoning they gave us was cost savings. But yet they still have a suite at arrowhead, multiple apartments at a luxury apartment complex, they have an executive trainer on payroll, spent a ton of money on gym memberships and a lot of other pointless things.
