- Work/Life balance - Salary was strong (probably to compensate for horrible reviews)
Cons
- First and most importantly, the on-boarding is a joke. There is no guidance or direction besides "how to pitch DSI" which was basically just listening to a few people present the overview deck and taking away some points from their pitch. It will be interesting if this has changed especially considering that majority of the HR department was laid off as well. - The first few months on the job you are basically thrown to the wolves. However, it's even worse because processes constantly changed. Once you think you've got it down, the "lines of business" will shift and everything changes. There was no clear direction in terms of the go to market strategy. - Compensation plan was nonexistent. Once it was finally presented (6 months after joining), it was ambiguous and confusing. There was no explanation around how we would be measured, the "KPIs" weren't listed/clear. In fact, we had a 2hr long team meeting to discuss which metrics we felt were the best to be measure and SHOCKER, they were never put into place. The only part of the comp plan that was clear was an overall team revenue goal which was really far off the reality. - Egotistical CEO and "old boys club" leadership team. Almost every person in power has been at the company 10+ yrs and they are comfortably stuck in their ways. Any sort of feedback or request for help just falls on deaf ears. When an employee has to request for one:one meetings with their manager, that is an issue. - DSI does not know how to work with remote employees. You will constantly be out of the loop and virtual meetings NEVER began on time. There were also multiple events that remote employees weren't even considered and never got invited too until it was too late. I could go on but honestly, just don't make the mistake of ignoring these reviews. There is a reason that majority of them are negative.
