Pros

If you are smart and outgoing, you can learn something from other marketing folks. Teammates are great – people go through tough culture fit interviewing to join the company. Benefits are good.

Cons

Demand gen has toxic management that is full of it. Goal setting is random and utterly ambitious. Working 24/7 is praised... especially once the investors decided to go public. Whole team is burnt out and surviving from Friday to Friday. Compensation review is nonexistent Promotion from SDR role is nonexistent. A few exceptions don't count... Nobody will question your worth and work quality as long as you meet the quotas. Once you don't — you are nobody, and your previous work and results are worth nothing.
