Pros

Learn what not to do at other organizations

Cons

The board, C-Suite, and Home office support lack diversity in leadership, predominantly reflecting a single ethnicity. Delek is perceived as an organization where white leaders thrive. The HR team has been accused of disregarding feedback from engagement surveys highlighting unfair practices go without any action plans or any authentic follow up. Allegations of favoritism and a 'good ole boy' mentality are frequent within the refineries. The HR leader at the Tyler refinery has faced multiple complaints and is rumored to have hired a family member, as stated by a former employee. The CEO is criticized for being sarcastic and dismissive of the company's culture, preferring to travel and give presentations comparing his mother unfavorably to Elon Musk's Mom. His presentation theme, "Last Man Standing," is said to resonate clearly with the Oil and Gas industry's Caucasian male dominance, while HR reportedly neglects to address the concerns raised about this theme that he feels is impactful, negating just the presentation name is offensive in 2024 for companies that truly focus on belonging! Run from this company unless you fit in the stereotypical ethnicity desired for advancement! Don't take my word google their Sr. Leaders and Board members. A picture is worth a thousand words they say!
