Is this your company?

Used to be a happy place to work, now it's like working in the zoo. - Social Worker Delta Community Supports Employee Review

Pros

Being able to make my own schedule to a certain point and not always having to work in the office for eight hours is a plus. There are a lot of wonderful and good hard working people that do care about the work they do.

Cons

Compensation for the hours worked does not add up. There are times when you have to sit in court waiting rooms for hours before being called, which takes important work time. The office is not professional at all. People are playing music and singing and talking about a lot of personal business. This can be very distracting especially when you are on the phone and lawyers can hear the rants in the background.

Pros

The IDD individuals you serve.

Cons

Reputational liability. The organization has a horrible reputation in the field and senior management is so toxic that if you are perceived as a threat to them in any way, they will gossip and lie about you to the extent that you need to be concerned about your professional reputation. Extremely insecure people with little to no leadership experience dominate the c-suite. The org bleeds top talent and can’t retain people who are qualified to be there. The CEO is a trust fund kid who is so insecure about his inability to run a company that he believes the person whispering loudest in his ear while top talent sees themself to the door.
