Pros

-Very convenient location, right outside Powell Bart Station. Easy access to food and shopping. -Nice view, Demandforce is on 8, 9, 11, 12, and 13 floors -Decent looking office -Great benefits from Intuit (However, Demandforce has resorted to hiring contractors (please see below) for many positions, so technically you don't get any of Intuit's benefits) -Snacks -Catered lunches (although they have reduced the amount of free lunch provided to only 3 days per month, previously it was 5 days per month. The reason for the change, they say is due to sustainability (not sure how true that is). -Outgoing people, at times too social and resembles college frat/sorority culture (this is actually also leaning towards the side of "Cons", from personal experience here, it seems that being sociable is not a trait that is "good to have", but you "must" have to be liked, respected, and even promoted here. -Managers will praise (However, you also have to do your share here too. Expect to praise back.) -Sales driven (It is a pro if you are working in Sales, but if you are techie, not so much)

Cons

I don't like writing reviews, but I can't help but write this one because I need the community to know and I need new grads to know (they hire a lot of new grads) the cons of working here. I don't want you to be fooled by Intuit's big name and I want you to be fully aware that Intuit "acquired" Demandforce, I believe back in 2012. Intuit's culture, values, and mission are displayed nicely on flyers, papers, wallpapers, and posters in Demandforce, I hate to say this, but I don't see any of their values in action. Demandforce is packaged nicely with Intuit's name all over it, but it is not enforcing Intuit's mission statement. I will be very honest with you, I don't want anyone else to make the mistake I made in accepting the offer to work here. Demandforce is providing lip service. Here are the reasons why cons outweigh the pros at Demandforce: 1) A very numbers-oriented culture, causing Account Executives to constantly meet quota or expect to get fired. As a result, AEs will often over-promise features that Demandforce doesn't offer or turn on special features that can accrue additional fees for the customers. The customers are being "lied" to and kept in the dark. Not just a numbers' game on the Sales Team, but all around. On the Support Team as well, everyone is monitored for how many cases closed and they care more about how many surveys customers filled out rather than the quality of the customer service interaction. 2)Messy and often incomplete initial deployment when the Account Executives first set up Demandforce for the customers. Lots of errors because AEs are too busy meeting their numbers and closing the deal to really provide quality customer service. Additionally, it is impossible for customers to reach their AEs for support after the AEs have closed the deal. As a result, lots of complaints and dissatisfaction that goes to the Support Team. 3)When there is an obvious mistake on Demandforce's end, 9 out of 10 times customers are still stuck in an annual contract. Refunds take forever to be approved or are rejected entirely. It's impossible for customers to get out of contract early, very angry customers will call the Support Team. FYI, the good, bad, ugly, and ugliest will all go to the Support Team. 4)Demandforce is resorting to hiring contractors for the Customer Care/Technical Support Team and the Integrations/Deployment Team(possibly other positions as well). Conversion is very, very, very slow and don't expect that if you excel, hit your numbers, and meeting other metrics you will get converted. 5)Most managers are in their 20s, with no background, education, or previous experience in management. Micromanagement is everyday and commonplace. More experienced managers that were borderline decent all have left. Many managers are left with less than 1 yr of experience managing teams. 6)Bugs, bugs, bugs, and more bugs. A very shaky product that breaks more than it works. Expect to have at least a bug, a huge one too on a weekly basis. Oh, and don't celebrate when there is a new product release because it will introduce endless amount of bugs, huge ones too. Also, the site will break down at least once a week. Integration between Demandforce and Management Systems is shaky and disconnects frequently. The product is also not very user friendly, especially for the SmBs population that can be less technically savvy. The product has a lot of text everywhere, very little pictures. Additionally, it tries to be a one size fits all model, but doesn't work well because they target very different industries (auto shops, salons, dental, etc) that have very specific customer needs. 7)Very low morale, people either voluntarily leave on a weekly basis or are fired. They hire lots of people with no college degrees (I really mean it, there are probably more people with no college degrees than there are with college degrees on certain teams) or work experience. Inappropriate stuff happens and people are let go very frequently. At first I was really surprised, but it occurred so frequently that I couldn't keep track who got fired. 8)Very low pay, no career growth. 9)Accustomed to their old way of doing things, not open minded to employee feedback.
