Pros

A relaxed environment, poolside, enjoying the company of respectful residents, free coffee

Cons

Just a very awful environment to work in! Truly feel sorry for the residents. From building break-in to car theft to car break-in to theft from residents, just being there as a staff or resident, especially at nights, is definitely not safe! Most parts of the property are poorly lit at night and as long as Management collect their residents rent and employees do their job and keep the cycle going, they couldn't care less. There is no dedicated Security on duty by day much less night. There's a very high turnover rate amongst management and employees. Oftentimes, as much as five (5) employees leave within a week or fortnight. And this has been going on for months upon months now. If you like to be micro-managed, this is the perfect place for you. Rude Management couldn't care less who comes or goes, as long as there are bodies present. They have no time to invest in their employees, as they treat like them like they're on an assembly line. As one leave, another one comes and the rinse-repeat cycle continues. Any resident or staff who dare to complain about the poor service will be met with resistance, as this throws Management into the spotlight. Less staff basically equates to less service. You either put up or shut up! Lately, the Company seems broke or short of funds. Management, especially Directors, are petty and oftentimes, emotionally unhinged especially when under stress due to low staff to meet the residents needs. They certainly do not operate in a business-like fashion. I've witnessed even Marketing/Management staff serving residents breakfast due to lack of adequate staff in the Food & Beverage Department, when they should be performing their own duties. Management openly discusses other staff members infront of others, hardly displays any leadership traits and fails to see their very own short comings. Besides the low pay, there is little to no incentives. You are basically overworked, no matter the department ! Front Desk Receptionist, especially Overnight, are expected to perform Maintenance, Housekeeping, Residents Care-Giving, Security tasks, plus their own duties. As a Receptionist, you are basically doing a handyman's jobs under the disguise of an Ambassador/Receptionist. Though fully gated, some parts of the property front are unfenced or unsecured, making it very easy for thieves and/or passerby's to just walk in, do whatever they want and leave as they like. Truly a toxic environment. Employees, especially low quality ones, just do as they like. They have a tendency to hire High School graduates or younger people as they believe they can grant them low pay but little did they know that they are wising up and leaving as soon or shortly after they arrive. Some staff do alot and some do a little and get the same pay, as there is little to no supervision. More and more residents seems to leaving these days as there are so many empty apartments throughout the entire property. With a lack of dedicated Security, some of the residents are scared/poorly serviced and it is no wonder they don't feel comfortable and eventually turn in their keys. Lots of cliques within/amongst Management & staff, which is certainly not good for the company's overall productivity. Run from this place!
