If you have a supervisor you're not compatible with, it is very difficult to succeed. Unfortunately, a few badly placed managers can make a great many suffer. The company in general is reluctant to promote or encourage employees to grow in other directions than the one they were hired for. They would rather hire someone who is already a rock star in that field than give a dedicated employee proper assistance to move into that role. The longer you work there, the more vulnerable you are to being laid off, as loyalty seems irrelevant. In general, they do not have a strong Creative department.
